Trisha made her acting debut in the Tamil film “Mounam Pesiyadhe” in 2002. Her performance in the film was well-received.

However, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for her role. She then appeared in several Tamil films such as “Saamy” (2003), “Ghilli” (2004), and “Aaru” (2005). Her performance in these films established her as a leading actress in the Tamil film industry.

Trisha then ventured into Telugu cinema with the film “Varsham” (2004), which was a commercial success. She then appeared in several Telugu films such as “Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana” (2005), “Athadu” (2005), and “Sainikudu” (2006).
